NEAR WEST LITTLE LEAGUE GENERAL RULES

  1. ALL games will have a 2 HOUR time limit. NO inning will start after 1:45!
  2. Games will only be cancelled for lightning or heavy rain on field at game time! Our fields drain well, so we WILL play when conditions improve.
  3. There is a 'must play' rule. Every player in uniform should play 6 defensive outs (two innings) and one turn at bat.
  4. All players will be given uniforms. No player should play out of uniform. If you need additional pants, caps, etc., please see the Commissioner.
  5. Games will begin on time! We do not like to forfeit games, so please make it to all games ahead of scheduled time.
  6. Coaches: please contain your players as well as your fans' and parents' emotions towards other players or umpires.
  7. Rosters need to be in by two weeks after Opening Day. This is for insurance purposes.
  8. Coaches will be responsible for collecting all league fees and registration forms for their teams.
  9. Let's be safe and remember we are here for the children. It's not all about winning!
  10. Any problems concerning ages of players are to be reported to the Commissioner who will make any and all determinations of eligibility.
  11. All coaches are advised to keep a COPY of their players birth certificates at all times in case of disputes or interleague/tournament play.
  12. Players may only play in one division.
  13. After a player joins a team and plays in a game, she or he can trade teams with the Commissioner's approval.
